Stock Honda Ridgeline

The Ridgeline is Honda's first attempt at  a pickup truck . It is Powered by a 255-hp V6, 5-speed automatic transmission, and all-wheel-drive system, which is also  found in Honda's Pilot SUV. Looking at the Ridgeline, it was obvious that it was a pretty solid truck all the way around, but yet  missing one key thing, it needed to breath. Our engineers put their heads together and aFe's Stage 1 Intake System for the Ridgeline was introduced (PN 54-10911). We were able to achieve a  Airflow Increase of 93 CFM. A 52% Increase over stock. Lets see how we did it.

Safety first! Before you start your installation, make sure the engine has properly cooled down and the negative terminal on the battery is disconnected in order to prevent any electrical mishaps.

Our technician, Adrian, started by removing the 10mm bolt securing the back of the air box. He then removed the air box assembly out of the engine compartment. Adrian loosened but did not remove

the bolt securing the air intake snorkel. After the factory air box was completely removed he positioned  the new housing inside the engine compartment making sure the lower mounting tab slid in the snorkel mount. After he secured the housing with the  supplied bolts and washers, Adrian connected the  intake duct to the housing. All that was left to do was to  Install the  intake filter into the housing and secure the  aluminum cover  with the supplied button head screws. The installation was complete.

After our Flow Test, We managed to obtain a 52% CFM increase over stock.  The Ridgeline looked and sounded meaner that ever, while dramatically providing plenty of usable power.  whether it be its powder-coated housing, that blocks hot engine heat ensuring true cold air induction, or its high flow conical air filter for maximum airflow. With such a great gains, aFe's Stage 1 Intake System (PN 54-10911), is definitely a "must have" for your Honda Ridgeline!
